First remove the eSIM from your current phone. Then open the Saily app, tap Install eSIM → Share eSIM to other person, and scan the QR code with the new device. You can also log in to the Saily app on the new phone with the same email and install from there.
The catch: an eSIM works on one device at a time, so you can’t keep it running on both phones.
Got a new phone mid-trip, or want to move your plan to a tablet? Most eSIM plans are locked to one device, but Saily lets you reinstall your eSIM on a different device as long as you use the same Saily account. Here’s how, from Saily’s own transfer guides.
Before you start
- If you changed your eSIM’s default settings, you may need your PIN or PUK code to finish.
- The new device has to support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked.
- Have Wi-Fi ready on the new device for the install.
Transfer from an Android phone
- On the old phone, go to Settings → Connections (on some phones, Network and internet).
- Tap SIM manager and select your Saily eSIM.
- Tap Remove.
- Open the Saily app and tap Install eSIM.
- Choose Share eSIM to other person.
- Scan the QR code with the other device and follow the on-screen steps.
Transfer from an iPhone
- On the iPhone, go to Settings → Mobile Service (or Cellular).
- Tap your Saily eSIM.
- Tap Delete eSIM.
- Open the Saily app and tap Install eSIM.
- Tap Share eSIM to other person.
- Scan the QR code with the other device and follow the on-screen steps.
Another way: log in on the new phone
Saily’s reinstall guide says you can use your eSIM on a different device as long as you log in to the Saily app with the same email address. After deleting the eSIM from the old phone, install the Saily app on the new one, sign in, go to eSIMs and tap Install eSIM. If the install button doesn’t work, reinstall the Saily app and try again.
Once it’s installed, turn on data roaming for the eSIM on the new device. The install guide covers the full setup.
Common problems
A QR code can’t be reused once it’s installed. Saily also advises against installing the same eSIM several times on one or more devices. Check that you removed it from the old phone, then ask support for help.
This happens if you changed the eSIM’s default settings. Enter the code you set. If you don’t have it, ask Saily support for help.
Check the internet connection, end any active phone call, update the phone’s software, turn off any VPN, and restart before you try again.
Want data on both devices?
Your Saily account supports multiple eSIMs. Instead of moving one, tap your purchased eSIM in the app, choose Add new eSIM, then Get a new eSIM, and buy a plan for the second device.
FAQ
Can I move my Saily eSIM to a new phone?
Yes. Delete it from the old phone, then use Install eSIM → Share eSIM to other person in the Saily app, or log in to the app on the new phone with the same email and install it there.
Can I use one Saily eSIM on two phones at once?
No. An eSIM is installed on one device at a time. To get data on a second device, add a new eSIM in the app.
Do I lose my data when I transfer?
The plan belongs to your Saily account, which is why the same login lets you reinstall it on another device. Check your remaining data in the app after the move.
Why does the new phone ask for a PIN?
Saily says you may need a PIN or PUK if you changed the eSIM’s default settings.
