Open the Saily app, select your eSIM, tap Add data, choose the location and a plan, then complete the purchase. You keep the same eSIM, so there’s nothing new to install.
The catch: top-up isn’t available while you’re in Turkey, so buy enough data before you enter the country.
Running low on data in the middle of a trip is easy to fix with Saily. You don’t buy a new eSIM: you add a plan to the one you already have. Here’s how to recharge, check what’s left, and avoid running out again.
How to top up your Saily eSIM
- Open the Saily app.
- Tap the top of the screen and select the eSIM you want to top up.
- Tap Add data.
- Choose the location you want to add to your plan.
- Pick a data plan from the options and tap Continue.
- Complete the purchase.
The new plan activates automatically when you arrive in its country, as long as your Saily eSIM is already activated.
Faster option: Top-up now
Under your current plan, the eSIM screen also shows a Top-up button. Top-up now buys a plan similar to your first one in a single tap, using the payment details from that first purchase.
- Open the eSIMs tab in the Saily app.
- Slide left or right to the location you want.
- Tap Top-up under the current plan.
- Select Top-up now and confirm the purchase.
On the Home screen it shows combined with your first plan; in Profile → My Plans it appears as a separate plan.
How to check how much data you have left
- Saily app: your remaining data is shown in the middle of the screen under your eSIM. Tap the eSIM to see the balance and expiry date.
- iPhone: Settings → Mobile Service (or Cellular) shows data used per period.
- Android: Settings → Connections → Data usage.
Your phone’s counter may not match the Saily app. Saily says that’s normal: your phone may count other SIMs or Wi-Fi, or reset on a different date. Saily counts all data that passed through its network while the plan was active.
Things to know before you recharge
When a plan’s validity period ends, the plan and any data left on it expire. Pick a size you’ll use in time.
When you top up, you choose the location. Add a plan for your next destination to the same eSIM, and it starts when you arrive there.
Saily’s website and top-up options aren’t available inside Turkey because of local restrictions on eSIM providers. Buy and activate your plan before you enter.
Saily accepts cards, PayPal, Apple Pay (iOS only) and Google Pay. Don’t retry over and over, turn off any VPN while paying, and check the card details.
Never run out: Auto top-up
If you’d rather not watch your data, Saily’s Auto top-up renews your plan automatically when the data runs out. See Saily Auto Top-Up explained for how to turn it on and off. For a first plan, here’s where to get Saily eSIM.
