The catch: Saily has no password, so you must sign back in with the same Google, Apple or Microsoft account you used before.

A fresh install of the Saily app can clear up unexpected problems. It removes the current version and sets it up again. Before you start, make sure you know which account you sign in with.

Try an update first

Sometimes you don’t need to reinstall at all. Saily’s minimum supported app version is 3.23, and updating is often the quickest fix when a feature isn’t working.

  • iPhone: open the App Store, find Saily and tap Update if it’s there.
  • Android: open Google Play, find Saily and tap Update if it’s there.

Before you uninstall

  • Know your login. Saily signs you in with Google, Apple or Microsoft, with no password.
  • If you signed up with Apple and used Hide My Email, your Saily email is an alias. Find it in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Hide My Email → Saily.

Uninstall the Saily app on Android

  1. Find the Saily app on your phone.
  2. Press and hold the app icon.
  3. Tap the additional information (app info) section.
  4. Tap Uninstall.
  5. Confirm.

Uninstall the Saily app on iPhone

  1. Find the Saily app on your phone.
  2. Press and hold the app icon.
  3. Tap Remove App.
  4. Tap Delete App to confirm.

Install Saily again

  1. iPhone: open the App Store, search for Saily, tap Get and confirm with Face ID or Touch ID if asked.
  2. Android: open the Google Play Store, search for Saily and tap Install.
  3. Open the app and sign in with the same Google, Apple or Microsoft account as before.

Saily says your account information stays saved in the cloud, so your account is there when you sign back in.

Reinstalling the app vs reinstalling the eSIM

These are two different jobs. The app is Saily’s software. The eSIM is the data profile on your phone, and you remove it in your phone’s settings, not by deleting the app.

You only need to reinstall the eSIM if Saily support or a fix guide tells you to. Saily lets you reinstall an eSIM, even on another device, as long as you log in with the same email address. A plan that hasn’t run out or expired can be installed again.

To reinstall the eSIM on iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings → Mobile Service and tap your Saily eSIM.
  2. Tap Delete eSIM and confirm the pop-ups.
  3. In the Saily app, go to eSIMs and select Install eSIM.

On Android: Settings → Connections → SIM manager, tap the eSIM, tap Remove eSIM, then go to eSIMs in the Saily app and select Install eSIM. Menu names can differ by phone.

If the eSIM won’t install, Saily’s advice is to reinstall the app. Avoid installing the same eSIM many times in a row, and check its status before each retry. Moving to a new phone? Read how to transfer Saily eSIM to another device.
