There’s no single winner. On 10 GB for 30 days, Nomad was lowest in Turkey and the USA, Saily with 15% off was lowest in Japan, and Airalo sells US plans that include minutes and texts. Pick Saily for built-in security tools and 180 days to activate.
The catch: two of Nomad’s lowest prices were sale prices, and Saily’s plans are data only.
Saily, Airalo and Nomad are three of the most searched travel eSIMs, and all three cover more than 200 destinations. The right one depends on where you’re going, how much data you use and what you want beyond data. Here are all three on the same plan, then who each one suits.
Price check: 10 GB for 30 days
Prices from each provider’s own site on 24 Oct 2026, in US dollars.
| Price: 10 GB, 30 days | Turkey | Japan | USA |
|---|---|---|---|
| Saily | $15.99 | $17.99 | $22.99 |
| Saily with 15% off | about $13.59 | about $15.29 | about $19.54 |
| Airalo | $15.50 | $18.00 | $22.50 |

Nomad was lowest in two of three countries, but its Turkey and Japan prices were marked “on sale” (from $15 and $18). Airalo and Saily list almost the same full prices, within 50 cents. Saily’s 15% off puts it below Airalo in all three, and below Nomad in Japan.
Unlimited data for a week
All three sell unlimited plans. Airalo’s 7-day unlimited plan was $24.50 in Turkey, $26.50 in Japan and $25.00 in the USA. Nomad’s 7-day unlimited plan was $25 in Japan and $23 in the USA; for Turkey it listed 5 days ($17) and 10 days ($28). Saily also sells unlimited plans for all three countries, priced by the number of days, so check the app. On Saily’s unlimited plans, you get a daily high-speed allowance, then about 1 Mbps until midnight local time.
Who each eSIM suits
Saily: privacy tools and flexibility
Saily comes from Nord Security, the company behind NordVPN. The app adds virtual locations, an ad blocker and web protection. You get 180 days to activate a plan, you can share an unactivated plan with up to 4 people, and support is 24/7 by chat in the app or email.
Airalo: the most plan options
Airalo says over 30 million people use it, across 200+ locations. It offers more validity choices: in Turkey, for example, 5 GB comes as 7, 15 or 30 days. In the USA it also sells plans with calls and texts, such as 5 GB with 50 minutes and 50 SMS for 30 days at $19.00. Airalo can auto-renew a package when 10% of the data is left, and offers 24/7 support in several languages.
Nomad: low prices and big plans
Nomad uses whole-dollar prices, runs frequent sales and offers large plans: 50 GB for 30 days ($35 in Japan), and in the USA 100 GB for 365 days ($120). Some Nomad eSIMs include a local number. Unlimited plans of 10 days or more earn 200 Nomad Points ($2) when they expire.
