Saily is worth it if you want a low-fuss travel eSIM with security tools built in. It comes from Nord Security, the company behind NordVPN, covers 200+ destinations and starts at $3.99 for 1 GB in many countries.
The catch: “Unlimited” plans drop to about 1 Mbps each day after the high-speed allowance is used.
People often call it “Saily by NordVPN”. Strictly, Saily is a separate prepaid eSIM service made by Nord Security, the same company that makes NordVPN. It has its own app and its own account.
What Saily is
Saily sells mobile data plans for travellers in over 200 countries and regions. You install the eSIM from its app, with no QR code, and the plan activates when you land. An optional add-on gives you a real +1 US phone number for calls and SMS.
Plans and pricing

Unlimited data: how it really works
Saily’s unlimited plans give you unlimited data for 5 to 30 days. Each day includes a high-speed allowance. Once it’s used, speed drops to about 1 Mbps until midnight in your eSIM’s local time. To get full speed back early, buy a regular plan for the same destination. Unlimited plans can’t be shared with other people.
Saily Ultra
Ultra is Saily’s top-tier subscription. It includes:
- 30 GB of high-speed data each month, then unlimited data at up to 1 Mbps.
- NordVPN, NordPass, NordLocker and Incogni.
- One airport lounge pass and one fast-track pass a month, which roll over for up to three months.
- A lounge pass if your flight is delayed 2+ hours, at selected airports.
- Priority support and 8% cashback in Saily credits.
Saily lists the current Ultra price on its Ultra page.
Security tools in every app
- Ad blocker: DNS-based blocking of ads, which also saves data.
- Web protection: helps block malware and phishing sites.
- Virtual locations: routes your traffic through a server in another country.
You turn each one on from the Saily app’s home screen. See eSIM privacy features and using Saily with NordVPN.
Support and refunds
Support runs 24/7 through live chat in the app and email, with no phone line. A full refund is available within 30 days if the eSIM isn’t installed or the plan isn’t activated. After activation, Saily only considers refunds for Saily-related quality problems or when more than 99% of the data is still unused.
Why your phone’s data counter may disagree
Your phone may show different usage than the Saily app. Phone counters reset on their own dates and can include Wi-Fi or other SIMs. Saily counts everything that passed through its network during your plan.
