Saily’s Sri Lanka eSIM starts at $3.99 for 1 GB. For a one- to two-week loop of Colombo, Kandy, Ella and the south coast, 5 GB ($11.99) covers maps, tuk-tuk apps and messaging.
The catch: plans are data only, so you get no local phone number for calls or texts.
Most Sri Lanka trips are a loop: Colombo, the Cultural Triangle, the hill country train to Ella and then the beaches. A Sri Lanka eSIM installed before you fly is ready at Bandaranaike Airport.
